We have a full complement of reception and administrative staff who are available to help you.

The district nurses are employed by North East Wales NHS trust and work in co-operation with the surgery to provide community care for patients.

The district nurses provide home nursing care mainly for the elderly and housebound. The hospital will arrange for a nurse to call on patients who require nursing treatment after discharge.

The nurses run a treatment clinic on Monday and Friday mornings and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons this is for wound dressings, suture removal and ear syringing, appointments are required please book at reception.

The midwives attached to our surgery are employed by North East Wales NHS trust. On discovering that you are pregnant please book to see one of the doctors they will then refer you onto the antenatal clinic, where one of the midwives will arrange to see you. A hospital antenatal clinic appointment is arranged around 20 weeks of your pregnancy and following this providing there are no problems you will be seen regularly in the surgery antenatal clinic either by the midwife or your GP.

On the birth of your baby the midwife will see you to provide postnatal care and advice for the first few weeks. A post natal check is advised at 6 weeks this is usually with your GP and will need to be booked at reception.

 

The health visitor is available for advice regarding the health and welfare of children and their families for all children up until school age.
